
Adventure Works (AW) is a multinational corporation that manufactures and sells metal and composite bicycles to North America, Europe and Australia. Its base operation is in Bothell, Washington with 290 employees. It has several regional sales offices throughout its market base. In 2000, AW bought Import adores Neptuno (IN), a manufacturing plant in Mexico. IN manufactures several subcomponents. These subcomponents are shipped to Bothell for assembly of final product. In 2001, IN became the sole manufacturer and distributor of touring bicycles.
This retail analysis aims to explore sales, costs, and profits across sales channels, products, and sales territories. Specifically, we will analyze sales from resellers and regular online customers, focusing on bicycles and metals-related products sold globally. The analysis will be conducted using Power BI, a powerful data visualization tool that can help us quickly gain insights from the data. To analyze the data, we will use the RFM model, Pareto Analysis, Market Basket Analysis, and Rating techniques.
The primary business problem is the need to increase revenue and improve profitability in the retail business. The analysis will help identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
